Chief Executive Officer & Founder

Tom brings a rare combination of project finance expertise and clean energy development to Solum. Before moving into energy he spent nearly a decade in structured finance. Since then he has led hydrogen and clean fuels initiatives across North America and Europe, advised on renewable energy strategy with IRENA, and served as COO and CEO at Salish Elements before founding Solum Energy.

Alan brings over 20 years in renewables and 15 years specialising in hydrogen and clean fuels, with direct experience across RNG project development, fuel cell commercialisation, and low-carbon fuel supply chains. A recognised clean fuels thought leader who has spoken at more than 100 industry conferences, he holds an established network across the organisations and financiers deploying clean fuel infrastructure in Asia, North America, Africa, and Europe.

As co-owners, not stakeholders. Partner Nations hold an equity position aimed for majority ownership at operations, with shared governance, local employment, and durable long-term revenue.

We're rooted on Canada's West Coast in British Columbia, with a national project pipeline and export pathways serving global markets across Europe and Asia.

It converts forestry and agricultural residues that would otherwise decompose or be burned into renewable natural gas, syngas and methanol, displacing fossil fuels and lowering lifecycle emissions.
